General

What makes PEIP unique?
PEIP emphasizes practical, unbiased learning with no industry influence — alongside engaging speakers and dedicated Q&A for immediately applicable insights.
Who is the conference for?
PEIP is created by primary care professionals for primary care professionals — including family physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, residents, and students.
Is the conference in-person or virtual?
Both. Choose whichever fits your schedule.
Can I claim CME-related expenses?
Alberta Medical Association physician members can submit claims (up to $2,200) for CME expenses.
Where can I book my hotel?
See the Venue & Accommodation section on the home page. Discounted group rates available at the Wyndham Edmonton Hotel & Conference Centre.
Will speaker slides be made available?
If a speaker has given permission, a PDF will be shared through the event mobile app or virtual platform.
Is there parking onsite?
Yes — complimentary parking is available at the Wyndham Edmonton Hotel & Conference Centre.
Are meals provided for in-person tickets?
Yes. Friday: PM refreshments and Networking Reception. Saturday: breakfast, AM refreshments, lunch, and PM refreshments.
Do I need to RSVP for the Friday reception?
No — the reception is included with all in-person tickets. Just show up.

Registration

Can I attend just one day?
Single-day tickets aren’t currently offered. Both days are bundled to keep pricing simple.
What’s the cancellation / refund policy?
Refund requests received before September 30, 2026 are refunded to the original payment method, less a $100 administration fee. No refunds after October 1 — but you may transfer your ticket to another person or switch from in-person to virtual. Substitutions accepted until 5:00pm MT on Wednesday, October 14. Email admin@peipconference.ca with the new registrant’s name and email.
What happens if I don’t show up?
No refunds for no-shows or late arrivals.
Will I get a certificate of attendance?
Yes — issued to all registrants (in-person and virtual) within 5 business days of the conference.
Who qualifies for the clinic / group virtual rate?
Any clinic or group of 3+ healthcare workers. Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, students, and residents are charged the same per-person rate. One invoice, one administrator, individual logins.
Who qualifies for the Student / Resident rate?
Currently enrolled in a Canadian academic institution OR resident in training that graduated from a Canadian institution within the past 5 years.
What payment methods are accepted?
Credit card only — Visa, Mastercard, Amex — through our online registration platform.

Virtual

How do I access the virtual platform?
An email with login instructions is sent to all registrants approximately one week before the event.
Will recordings be available afterward?
Yes. All registrants (virtual + in-person) get on-demand access to recordings for 3 months post-event. Recordings post 2–5 business days after the live event closes.
Are session times shown in my time zone?
Yes — the streaming platform automatically converts times to each user’s time zone.

Workshops

When’s the deadline to register for a workshop?
Register early. Each workshop is capped at 20 participants and fills first-come, first-served.
Is there a discount for registering for both a workshop and the conference?
Yes — $100 off when you bundle a workshop with a conference registration. Applied automatically at checkout.
Where are workshops held?
All workshops are in-person at the Wyndham Edmonton Hotel & Conference Centre with the exception of ‘Artificial intelligence and Clinical Practice’, which is virtual only.
Is there pre-work?
Yes — each workshop includes a pre and post event assignment. Details sent to registrants closer to the event date.

Thank you for being the most useful conference of the year.
